Not sure if that is the correct spelling, but it sure is exciting. Yes folks, this morning it snowed!!! Boy was I thrilled. We got dressed up (after all important breakfast of course) and went out and had a look.
It is amazing. Brett had told me before, but to see it with my own eyes was even better, it really does fall down in flakes. Teeny, tiny snowflakes, beautiful, individual.
It wasn’t falling all that heavily, and I don’t think that Mr. Elisha really noticed. We went up into the small lawned area of the hotel and stood there while it was snowing. SNOWING. I have finally seen it snowing.
Meanwhile, Brett managed to nearly fall over the only half remains of an attempt at a snowman for miles, while not paying attention to where he was going.
Later the snow was falling a little heavier and I quickly put Elisha’s beannie on, and took him out for a look. He noticed this time, and was trying to catch the flakes, which has similar results to him trying to pick up the bath water. Simply, it didn’t work all that well. But he was facinated.
Brett has managed two half days of skiing with no injury.
Another in our group was not so fortunate but looks like everything is okay now. She hit her head when she fell and was a bit confused for a while, had to be brought down on a snow-buggy thing, and the doctor sent her to the hospital where she stayed overnight for observation. I haven’t seen her yet, but I believe she is fine, and back here at the hotel now. Thank goodness for travel insurance.
