Today was just one of those days. I was seriously lacking in patience with Elisha, and he seemed to find all my buttons too.
The one thing that he is doing at the moment that for some reason I am finding extremely frustrating is asking the same question over and over and over and over and over again. For instance, this afternoon we met Brett over at Southlands Boulevard Shopping Centre. We left before he did so that he could get on with the work he was doing undistracted. The whole way to the car, “See Daddy?”. The whole way home, “See Daddy?” And then even when we got home he still asked once more. I’m not sure if he keeps asking because he isn’t listening or comprehending the answer, or whether he thinks if he asks enough times the answer will change.
I am also unsure as to why it bothers me so much. I bet this isn’t even a pimple on a pumpkin compared to the “Why?” stage. Perhaps it’s just training.
In other news I finally took the paper toles I started while pregnant with Elisha to be framed today. The plan was to have them hanging in his nursery when he was born. I finished them about a month ago.
Also picked up paint for the new nursery. Blue and orange. Might even start on it this weekend. Woohoo.
