A couple of weeks ago we went and saw Colin Buchanan in concert at Koorong.
Elisha was absolutely awe-struck, he didn’t start bopping to the music until the last couple of songs. Cayley was okay until things got a bit noisy. Then she was not so okay and rather noisy herself.
Between us Brett and I may have taken over 100 photos… here is a sampling.
as well as
There were a few other Colins too, but between trying to calm Cayley and take photos they’re not so great shots. Pretty happy to have gotten at least a few decent pics though.

I did manage to wrestle the camera back for a few photos
This photo didn’t work, but Elisha DID pat a snake
And then the moment I’d been waiting for – The Merry Go Round. I managed to get a couple of quick snaps…
… and then it started pouring with rain. We had to run to some shelter and the photos thereafter are not great at all.
Guess we’ll have to take another trip to the zoo to try and get some decent shots. What a pity!
It was almost time for us to leave, but we made a quick dash to say hello to the orang-utans.
There is a HUGE Think Pink Campaign going on over at Little Scrapbook Shop as October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
One of the exciting things happening over there at the moment is the Silent Auctions. Most if not all of the fabulous design team members have donated prize, awesome prizes, which you can bid on.
This is my little number.
Why don’t you head on over and join in the fun and support a very, very worthy cause.
Joshua and Simon decided they quite liked my camera and so most of the photos from the rest of the day were taken by them.
Here are some of my favourites.
The fishing cat
My very own little monkey
Love this one of the painted dogs. They were all caged up when we got to their exhibit and the keepers were putting their food out in closed up cardboard boxes. Once they released the dogs there was lots of action.
One of my little monkeys again
I see you!
This was the first time I’ve seen the sun bear. I was surprised that he was so small. What a cutie.
Went to the zoo on Wednesday. Joshua and Simon came along too. We had a great time. A lot of photos were taken. About 180 to be exact. Not sure how many I’ll show, but definitely got to show you two of the tigers… they were right up near the glass. Gosh I love tigers.
This guy was pacing up and down right along the window.
And this guy was just chilling.
We had some visitors last weekend. These are friends we have made through Brett’s work. How cute is their little boy!
They also brought Elisha and Cayley gifts, which both of them love, though Brett and I both agree that Elisha’s was particularly inspired. He received a pack of Matchbox cars… all “cleaning” type vehicles, as in a street sweeper, a snow shovel and so on. He just loves them and has been playing with them almost non-stop since receiving them. So a BIG thank you to Dinh and Thi and of course Dang… they’re fantastic.
Later the same afternoon we went to Point Walter with Mum and Dad. It was gorgeous outside and the scenery was very relaxing. As always Bernie’s kebabs were delicious.
And then Brett got sick again.
A simple thank you card…
